Decide what needs attention first
Walk through bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen and living areas, and note the surfaces or rooms that need the most attention. Point out delicate finishes, stubborn stains, access restrictions and areas that should not be cleaned. If you have a society access window or parking instruction, share it before the visit.
Deep cleaning is not automatically the same as renovation cleanup, appliance servicing or moving heavy furniture. Ask for the exact room-by-room scope and exclusions before confirming so you know what to expect.
Make the visit smoother
Put away jewellery, documents, medicines and fragile personal items. Empty kitchen cabinets or trolleys only if interior cleaning is part of the agreed scope. Arrange access to water and electricity if needed, and keep pets and children away from active work areas according to the team’s instructions.
Tell the team about delicate stone, wood, paint or fabric surfaces. A small inconspicuous test area may be sensible for a new cleaning method, but the technician should confirm what is appropriate for the specific material.
Review the result and clarify aftercare
At handover, walk through the agreed areas with the team and point out any missed item while they are still on site. Ask how long surfaces should dry and whether any room needs ventilation or should remain unused for a period.
A service quote should reflect the size, condition and agreed inclusions of the home. Share accurate details in advance and ask for any additions or exclusions to be recorded before work starts.
